About this course
This Certificate programme serves to introduce participants to computer
programming and data structures using the Java language.
The Java programming language directly supports
modern approaches to computer programming. These include direct
support for the very successful object-oriented technology, programming
for the Internet and an extensive and expandable library of reusable
components. With Java, some say, programming is a lot more fun than
it used to be.
In order to qualify for entry into the programme,
applicants should be computer literate. More importantly, students
must have CXC (or GCE O’Level) Mathematics, or another analytical
subject (such as physics).
